My DD is 8 weeks old and I'm STILL bleeding!  Is this normal?  How long did your PP bleeding last?  BTW, I had her vaginally, don't know if that makes a difference or not.

PP bleeding can last months. I had a c-section and bled for 6-8 weeks afterwards.  Remember to eat right and try to stay hydrated so the effects of lost blood are less.

I had my Daughter On July 7th via c-section and I spotted for a month. I think 8 weeks is a little long you might want to call your DR.

Oh yay, there's some new people on here!  My DD was born just a few days before yours, Blue eyes.

Thanks for the replies!  I actually stopped bleeding a couple days after I wrote the post.

I figured it was the trade off for not having a period for 9 months... you just have them (all 9) continuously after the baby comes. I bled heavily (like a normal period) for like 6 weeks after my first baby and a lot lighter for 4-6 weeks with my second baby. No one told me this was going to happen so I was really disappointed with that first one when the realization hit that I hadn't missed my period all those months but that my body was just saving up until after the birth. What a pain!!

"The foundations of admirable character lie in a boy's realistic sense of himself as a human being. He will never be perfect, and he is what he is because others have given to him. With such knowledge comes the possibility of fulfillment, and of character that will continue to be strengthened by choosing to do right, and, after failure, to do better the next time.''
